Soy Oil/Lecithin

Several of the recipes found here include ingredients that contain soy oil or lecithin, because my kiddos were OK with me eating them. Some very sensitive MSPI babies can’t tolerate the oil/lecithin. Please double check ingredients in the recipes if you have to avoid these items!

If you are new to the diet and unsure about whether your baby can tolerate soy oil and lecithin, your best bet is to go without until all of your child's symptoms are resolved. Once you find your "happy place," you can start slowly adding in soy oil and lecithin, keeping an eye out for reactions. If no reactions, then you know it's safe.

Check out the list of Quick Start recipes for foods that are free of soy oil and lecithin.
